Hanni made his professional debut on 1 December 2009 in a league match against Sedan.[1] On 11 June 2010, he was slated to sign a one-year contract with hometown club Paris Saint-Germain.[2] However, a week later, it was announced that Hanni would not be joining the club due to a disagreement between the club and the player's father.[3]
In November 2009, Hanni, a former France youth international announced his intent to represent Algeria on international level, though he is still currently eligible to play for France.[4][5][6]
